I hope it is clear that Natasha is aiming at the soldiers in the top panels. I didn't want to draw an establishing shot so I hope it isn't confusing. Also a little bit more information of Erian Fael!

"at the soldiers", for plurals do not get apostrophes, contractions do.

You could try with the old crosshairs, or whatever Natasha is using.

Lol, I think in my potato sleepy brain I thought of the 'soldier's' as a possessive of their panel... then completely ruined the grammar afterwards. I'll fix my comment to match what you said lol.

Originally I had some crosshairs but it made it look like she had an unrealistic level of zoom or was embarrassingly close to the target. In the end I removed them.

Nah, I got it just fine. Natasha aiming, group of soldiers, one of them lit up, and then shift to gore discretion shot.

Also makes sense why mages make for good snipers, though it does make it seem like mage snipers are only really good for taking out careless mages as opposed to be an improvement over all in regards to regular snipers.

Awesome, I'm glad the sequence of events was clear!

Taking out an enemy mage, who doesn't feel like hiding their mana, is a big plus. There are also mages, like Shiyo, who do not understand how to suppress their mana. While they can sniff out a mage they can still target normal people as well. The other very large factor is hinted at throughout the comic and it is dependent on their element!

Take a Cold/Heat mage? They no longer need to worry about being too hot or cold in their blind. A Cold mage can keep themselves hydrated without having to move. A Nature mage, like Natasha, can create her own blind without moving making it nearly impossible to spot. A Wind mage could create a vacuum from the barrel to their target. A Ground mage could, similar to a Nature mage, cover themselves in dirt making them extremely hard to spot. Though not explicitly said (I kinda hint at it by having Lilith read in the dark from time to time) Dark mages can see in the dark. All of them can create "wards", in case someone is snooping around trying to find them, like Lilith did in chapter 7 page 23.

Holy and Lightning mages I can't imagine being too helpful as a sniper though.

Holy and Lightning could make for interesting snipers, if only for the "God is really angry at you!" effect.

Nothing says "reach out and touch" like a bullet AND a lightning bolt!

So, is it that Fael hasn't always been a piece of crap, or is he just grooming her for the future?

(I'm assuming that it's the same guy, am I right?)

That is totally the same guy. I might go back and make it look more like him. Not really sure how to convert that old art style into the new

As far as if he wasn't always a piece of crap, it is a mystery!
